More than 100 shows later, NY Fashion week 2023 is already over. This week (10/02 – 15/02) New York lived a tad extra because of numerous fashion events that took place there.
It is already the second edition since after corona where “in-person” shows were allowed to take place again and celebrities descended to the big city. Strict and packed schedules, grand architectures and iconic backdrops with shows that took place at historic sites all over Manhatten and Brooklyn.
What tone was set for fall/winter 2023?
One thing is for sure, street style is hard to define to 1 thing except the term “individualistic. You can never know in advance what to expect. Everyone has their own style that they integrate into the trends resulting in unique combinations of different looks and aesthetics. Of course, there are still some standards within a personal style that are used to create looks. Some of these standards were thin scarves, skirts over pants or denim on denim.
