Morning sunshine!
In my post from last week, I talked about how to easily make banana pancakes.
You can eat these for breakfast or as a snack. I make those for my breakfast and eat 4 pancakes with yoghurt and fruit.
“Anti-histamine pills work very well against pollen allergies.”
Morning routine
When I wake up, first thing I do is warm up my pancakes and prepare my yoghurt and fruit (blueberries, strawberries, apple, kiwi, raspberries) on a plate.
Next I take my vitamins:
– Vitamin B-complex (link)
Because I almost never eat fish, which contains a lot of vitamin B. I just don’t like to eat fish…
It is safe to take one pill every day, because vitamin B is water-soluble. By consuming this
through your diet or as a supplement, it is unlikely to consume too much of this vitamin.
Vitamin B is important for your metabolism (helps your food converting into energy for the
body), proper functioning of the body cells and maintain healthy skin cells, brain cells…
– Anti-histamine pills (link)
These are for a better digestion (for people who have for example gluten intolerance/allergie) and
works very well against pollen allergies. Pollen affects histamine production in the body. People
who are allergic to pollen, produce too much histamine in the body. This creates allergic reactions
such as coughing and sneezing.
I don’t want to take medication from the pharmacist. This product is a good alternative for me
because it’s homeopathic, which I am in favour of. (Also good for vegans).
Depending on the weather that day, I go for a run before my breakfast. And last but definitely not least, I drink A LOT of water. During breakfast alone I drink 2-3 glasses of water and sometimes a Fristi, my favourite 😋.
A healthy breakfast
Everybody has his or her own morning routine, but what should you eat for breakfast? And is it bad to eat eggs everyday?
A healthy breakfast contains food that is rich of protein and fat, such as:
– eggs
– yoghurt
– oatmeal
– chia seeds
– nuts
– berries
Let’s not forget the core of a healthy breakfast:
1. Whole grains Whole grain bagels, hot/cold cereals, waffles, muffins…
2. Lean protein Eggs, lean protein meat, legumes, nuts
3. Low fat dairy Greek yoghurt, Skyr (trending food from Iceland)
4. Fruits and vegetables
| Is it bad to eat eggs every day?
For everyone wondering, should or should you not eat eggs every day?
You can, but like everything in life, don’t overdo it.
It’s healthy and safe to eat 2-3 whole eggs every day.
Why 3 eggs you ask?
Because if you would eat more than 3 eggs every single day, this could cause a high rise of cholesterol level, (proven in several studies to have an effect on 30% of people).
You may or may not know but a high cholesterol level is linked with heart disease and early death.
It could be that you are in the safe 70 percent but better to be safe than sorry…
